How do I file a claim?

At Procella Insurance Solutions, we believe that what sets us apart is the service we provide. Our personal service does not stop at arranging your policies and managing your insurance program. Our service includes full life cycle management for claims. We are actively involved in managing your claims. We will lodge claims, liaise and negotiate with key stake holders in the claims process, mediate with assessors and monitor claims settlement processes as you require. This claims management is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you require our advice or assistance day or night, we are willing and available to assist.

You can assist in the claims process, by following the steps below:

  • Report the incident to Procella Insurance Solutions as soon as possible by telephone, fax or email.

  • Take steps immediately to prevent further loss or damage, regardless of whether the claim is reported or not. This might include:

    • minor temporary repairs

    • locating replacement critical machinery

    • securing the premises or vehicle to prevent further loss

    • ensuring safety of staff and neighbours if required

    • have your vehicle towed to a secure location, if seriously damaged

  • arrange for the vehicle to be covered, if necessary to prevent water damage

  • Complete all required claims documentation if required as soon as requested by the assessor or Procella Insurance Solutions.

  • Never admit liability, even if you think you are at fault. To do so could result in your Insurer denying or reducing your claim.
